JUST THOUGHTS and SUCH....June 19th

Now my husband is just too funny for words. He wanted timed rhymes using certain words.  He wanted me to use 

   MARGARITAS and BLOODY MARYS.  

So I ended up doing two different rhymes using the words in a twenty minute timing.  

I thought about how my one vets club has a drink special of the day. Today is Friday so it is two dollar domestic bottle day.  I thought it whimsical to write about that I don’t know the day of week except by the drink special being served.  As I do the Facebook postings for this club I need to know what the daily special is.  It’s not fun at times trying to come up with something clever, but it does keep my mind working.  As for my daily reflections it’s Friday day I always wear my red shirt to remember our deployed troops.  

We need to keep positive these days it seems. 

Not sure what my husband will come up with next but hope he quits giving me words to use for a few days. 

Until next time....it’s Friday and National Martini Day....perhaps I’ll do a Dorothy Parker today.

June 19th.... DAILY REFLECTIONS 

 It’s FRIDAY....day I wear my RED 

       shirt....wear one every Friday....

    Remember Everyone Deployed

I also will put on my red hat....not because I 

    belong to Red Hat Society....I DO NOT....

      because I’m wearing a red shirt

Between my husband and I we own a lot of 

    red shirts....when figuring out why....can’t 

      come up with an answer....I’ll leave it at 

            that

Went out today for margaritas 

I did not have more than four

Four makes me feeling mellow

More than that I’m on the floor

Oh I love the salty rim

On the glass they serve with the drink

I also love a wedge of lime

Makes it tasty or so I do think

The price was right to purchase them

Every Thursday two dollars I pay

I only will drink them once a week

When it’s the speciality drink of the day

I only know what day it is 

By the drink special for the day

Monday I consume dollar drafts 

Two dollar Bloody Marys on a Saturday 

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

Always a certain drink of the day 

Except Sunday’s when I drink at home 

And that is where I will stay
