APRIL and POETRY MONTH....Day 10

What a day of writing yesterday.  The first three were thoughts I wrote after I did the Blog for April 9th. These popped in my head; typed them out then fell back to sleep.
I was on a roll as I stopped at my Amvets club on Friday to get my tickets for a weekly drawing.  As Terry’s spring word/words for the day were DAISIES DAFFODILS and DANDELIONS.  I used them in the piece describing how a relationship was like flowers.  The second piece I wrote my thoughts on the flowers individually.  While also there another piece came to my mind.  By the time I got done I had another thought but an acquaintance came into the canteen and we had a conversation.
I thought enough was enough.  At least there was no writers block.
The wacky holiday was interesting. Yesterday I was Fannon Muldoon.  I guess she was out again yesterday. Generally she’s only out for St. Patrick’s Day.
As there is a lot to read, I’ll just say
“Enjoy Saturday.”
Until tomorrow....as always Stay Safe.

                      YOU ARE
Arrogant....that’s what describes you
  best
Thinking you are more what important
    than what you are
Truth be told....you are not
Just a smug individual....a need to.
      look better than some
Ignoring those you feel beneath you
Ever realize they might actually be
     above you?
Just as good as you?
Probably never did...never will

                  IGNORING
Ouch....I pinched my arm
Hey I’m alive....wasn’t sure
Thought perhaps I again was invisible
  Walking past me....saying hello to
the person standing next to me
Chatting them up....interrupting us
   I care not
  Next time you need
   my assistance....you’ll be invisible to
      me
Karma best when served chilled
   Enjoy!

           FOGGY THOUGHTS
The sun peeks through the clouds
Trying hard to burn off the fog
As I stand at the waters edge
     at Lake Jackson
my mind whirls with odd musings
I plot my new story chapter
  What will happen next?
Will I use personal experience
  as in the past?
Suddenly he comes to mind again
The strawberry blonde haired man
  with a mischievous smile
piercing blue eyes that saw through
     into my soul
Why now do I think of him?
Can it be the fog over the lake?
I reminisce of days long past...,
 a walk along the Lake
  Michigan shoreline
     a foggy April morning
Strolling hand in hand
  making future plans
   that never came to be
The only man I’ll ever love
    lost forever....to his commitments
He always comes to mind
  when I least expect it

          FLOWERY REFLECTIONS

Daisies symbolizes purity, innocence
Simplicity, loyalty and patience
Like the beginning of our relationship
A simple courtship so innocent of
  any wrong doings
My pure heart I gave to you
  Always thought you’d be loyal
Our love a daffodil blooming in spring
a new beginning for the two of us
The rebirth of what once was two
     broken hearts
But now I am a dandelion
  healing from the pain
    of your dishonesty

     DAISIESDAFFODILS and
                  DANDELIONS
Daisy petals tell the truth
Picking them one by one
He loves me....he loves me not
So innocent the bloom of the flower
Always giving the same result
  He loves me not

Each year the daffodils reappear
   in spring
Offering hope of a new beginning
rebirth of the earth after a long
   wintery nap
Daffodils give me hope of a new
    dawning with you

Dandelions stand proud in the sun
Their yellow heads surviving
  challenges....difficulties in life
At times I too am a dandelion
  overcoming obstacles that
    stood in my way
A confident flower am I
not a weed as most think

WACKY HOLIDAYS APRIL 9th
(National Cherish an Antique Day;
  National Name Yourself Day; National
   Chinese Almond Cookie Day and
    National Dive Bar Day)

My name today is Fannon Muldoon
Maybe she’ll be visible to people
As I take an almond cookie
  from the antique cookie jar
I wonder which dive bar
is going to get my money this
    afternoon
