APRIL and POETRY MONTH....Day 29

It’s 3:15am.  Whew I’m awake. Went to bed a bit earlier than usual last night.  Did not read as I usually do; well I read for half hour not two like most nights.
Busy day yesterday. After a trip to the bank; back home as I forgot something then back again to the bank. I went for a lengthy visit to see my husband. I overstayed my allotted time. It was an inside visit so I did not care at all. After my visit I went to meet our Grand Chef de Train of Florida 40&8 at the Amvets. The Chef de Train is traveling and visiting Voitures and stopped for the day.  It was a great visit definitely.  On a sad note learned about few people under the weather.  That means one thing, thinking of you cards.  I do send them out on behalf of my Voiture.  There are three going today.
I had the best laugh yesterday when I went to the club. Seems I sat down next to our Locale Chef de Gare as he too was waiting to meet with our guest. Well the magician was there and I took the empty seat between both guys. The magician actually had the nerve to give me a if looks could kill look; he picked up his stuff and went to sit by someone at a table.  No hello again. I’m sick of acknowledging first.  It’s like a child who thinks you have cooties.  Perhaps I do have cooties. Oh well that’s how I feel at times. Cooties or invisible doesn’t matter; it’s all the same. This person does not like me.
Yesterday the daily word was UMBRELLA.  Since I like rain pieces I wrote about the rain and my red umbrella.
The traffic on US 27 getting a bit better as most snowbirds going back north. I decided to concentrate on their departure.
Funny how the wacky holidays came together yesterday.  I’d definitely be a superhero if I baked a pie.
It’s Friday Eve folks. It’s also POEM in YOUR POCKET.  What is this you ask. Why take a poem or two you enjoy or create one of your own.  Print it off and then put it in your pocket.  You then pass it along to someone you see during the day to enjoy. You explain  they read it and have to put it in their pocket.  The person then has to pass  it along to someone else with the same instructions. One year I did this out of the box and passed out poems I put on bookmarks.  It was fun and in fact I went through my supply of thirty that day.
Until tomorrow....have a good day; as always Stay Safe.

                 ADIEU TILL FALL
A light breeze blows through the
      trees
The palm fronds wave like fingers
  saying goodbye to winter visitors
Snowbirds now leaving the warm sunny
    weather in Florida
Traveling to their northern homes till
     the late fall
Uncertain of what they will find once
    home....cold weather or snow
Taking fond memories of fun and sun
while wintering in the Sunshine State
We bid them an adieu and wish all
  safe travels home
Snowbird Season ends once again

                UMBRELLA of RED
My umbrella of red I carry in the rain
Twirling it behind me as I stroll in the April showers on a rainy Thursday
    afternoon
Splashing in the puddles, my mind
   wanders to my younger years
Reminiscing of rainy days walking in the
     spring showers
without a care in the world
Unlike today....with too many woes
   on my mind
