Well it’s 5:00am an extra hour of sleep.
A few years ago when I began the composing a poem a day for poetry month, I put quite a bit of my own personal experiences into the verses. Like a memoir I re-read many and remember what was going on at the time. Again I’m doing the same. It seems things I’m experiencing work well to create a verse or two.
The first piece reflects being ignored by someone who said hello to the person with whom I was in conversation; ignored me although and I also knew this individual. They interrupted us as if this person was talking to air. My first thought was what the heck is your problem with me; secondly I never did a darn thing for you to be rude as I’ve gone out of my way to be polite to you. Unfortunately I have to work with this person for volunteer work I do. I’m not ignored when I’m doing the volunteering but otherwise am so. Now I know many of you are thinking well quit volunteering but it would not be fair to those which benefit from what I do for one individual who is a jerk. Ticked me off royally. Well what goes around will come around; it always does. I’ll bid my time for when this person gets their just rewards.
The second piece sort of a love type poem. A couple viewing the sunset; she’s anticipating him asking her to marry him. She is pondering what she’ll say.
Terry’s word yesterday was ALLERGY. Well I can relate to that. I have them terrible at the moment. In both pieces I talked about tissues being needed. Truth I’m constantly blowing my nose and have gone through tissues like crazy.
I did the wacky holidays as two parts. One is done as a thought and the other as ideas on to celebrate the day.
I’ve been reading poems each day. Today for poetry I read two haikus and two accompanying poems that go with the haikus by Terry S.; and two poems by Danielle Steel. Not sure who’ll I read tomorrow. It depends want I’m in the mood to read.
It’s Saturday and the weekend begins.
Until tomorrow....have a good day and as always Stay Safe.

ERASE
Ignorant people
Though you’re standing next to
them....ignore you
like a used tissue....afraid to get close
These individuals I despise
thinking they are better than
you....they are not
Best to erase them from your life

HOW to ANSWER
Viewing the setting sun
shades of yellows,
pinks and purples
fill the sky
We stand holding hands
no words do we speak
Silence more than golden
as I await for the question
you plan to ask
Pondering exactly how I’ll answer

TISSUE SEASON
Spring has sprung....winter is gone
Buds begin appearing on the trees
Flowers start to bloom with vivid colors
to brighten the drabness left by
winter
Bees buzzing....flit from petal to petal
pollinating
Allergy season arrives with malice
My eyes....watery and itchy
my nose....stuffy and red
Constant sneezing
Achoo!
Achoo!
Achoo!
Where are my tissues?

RAMPANT SALES
Spring brings hope for days of sunshine
Buds begin to sprout on trees
Flowers start to poke through the
earth
Bird song awakes us each morning with
chirps and tweets
Winter woolens replaced by lightweight
clothing
House windows open to let fresh spring
air clear out the stale air of winter
The sweet fragrance of blossoms filter
through the breeze
Eyes water....nose stuffy
sneezing season commences
Allergy meds and tissues
sell rampant at stores

WACKY HOLIDAYS APRIL 2nd
(Good Friday; Nickelodeon Day; World
Autism Day; World Marbles Day;
International Children’s Book Day;
National Peanut Butter & Jelly Day;
National Ferret Day and National Walk
to Work Day)
THOUGHTS on WACKY HOLIDAYS (I)
Walking to work today gives one a chance to think about those with
autism
also a chance to ponder if ferrets make a good pet
IDEAS for the Day
Good Friday is truly a solemn day
It is also Nickelodeon day....hope that children turn off the
television for the day and play
Perhaps after enjoying a PB&J
kids can shoot some marbles
or pick up a children’s book to read
