It’s FRIDAY!
Today is the day we wear our RED! I have a certain pair of shorts I wear every Friday; different red tee shirts though. I have a red hat I wear and red bracelets. Last week I posted on social media something I found about different ideas to support our troops and remember those deployed by wearing red. I think some of them helpful. Not everyone can wear a red tee shirt especially if they are at work. Other options were given.
With yesterday as EARTH DAY, I composed a few pieces for the day. One was an acrostic; the other about the day and what one can do.
The daily word from Terry was ROBIN. It wrote itself as I can hear birds every morning. Who needs an alarm clock? It’s nature’s alarm clock.
I saw my husband yesterday. It was great to visit although I overstayed my allotted time. I just said I don’t wear a watch so had no idea the time.
Everyone at our veterans club that know my husband ask each time they see me about him. Well, most I should say.
Now I’m quite upset as a veteran and wife of a veteran. One officer from my veterans post does not ask about my husband and how he is doing; but this person seems so intrigued on the health of a non-veteran member. Isn’t a veteran’s condition just as much a concern also? Well I let my thoughts be known about that. Just let me say....I wear the BITCH BONNET well.
Does it hurt that most officers inquire about my husband but one does not? YES! But I can not quite my volunteer work because of one jerk. Ok enough said.
The wacky holidays were done as thoughts in my head.
I do hope you all have a great day.
Until tomorrow....enjoy Friday and Stay Safe.

EARTH DAY
Everyone must do their part
And help save our planet
Remember it’s the only one we have
Think about a recycling plan for home
Have it posted for all to see and use
Do practice the plan....it’s not hard
All you need is think Five R’s
You will find it routine to reduce, reuse,
repurpose, recycle and renew

We need to keep our environment
clean to save the earth
Each and everyone of us needs to
do our part
A plan implemented by each household
can become routine
Practicing the Five R’s
Recycle.....
Refuse....
Repurpose....
Reuse....
Reduce....
But another R can be added Renew
plant a new tree or bush
Reuse materials that you have
Repurpose old items for another use
Recycle whenever possible
Refuse purchasing unnecessary
objects
Reduce the amount of resources used
daily
Saving the plant a job for everyone

NATURE’S ALARM CLOCK
Robins tweet outside my window
Letting me know it’s morning
Their songs nature’s alarm clock
My eyes open to another day
Listening for a few moments
before sitting up in bed
I thank our Heavenly Father
for seeing me through the night

WACKY HOLIDAYS APRIL 22nd
(National Earth Day; National Jelly Bean
Day; Take Your Sons and Daughters to
Work Day and Technologies Day)
THOUGHTS and STUFF
Take you child to work today
Show them what you do for eight hours
and why you are tired when you get
home
Hopefully they’ll understand what it’s
like to bring home the bacon
Technology has come a long way
We have a device that can be
our life line
It’s a phone, camera, calendar,
daily reminder, road map,
plus an item on which to play games
and research information
So much technology into one little item
we carry in our pocket
Reviewing my household recycling plan
It’s Earth Day....each year I do this
Looking to see if I’m doing enough on my part to save the planet
and help the environment
As I think of new ways to do so
I snack on jelly beans left over from
Easter
