APRIL and POETRY MONTH....Day 30

It 3:00am in the morning and I woke up.
My mind now is a turmoil of thoughts.
I’ve really been trying to find out why a person from my club does not like me. I’ve never done anything but been friendly and nice to them. Yesterday it hurt me. I don’t hurt that easily but I felt useless; as if I’m a sack of dog poop.
Ok so this guy walks in says hello to each person by name (example Hello Don, Hello Jeff etc...) down the bar and to those sitting at a tables. He got to me walked past without a word. I pinched myself to see if I were alive and yes I was. I asked another person do you see me? They said yes why you asking.  I said just checking.
Now I could have actually got up and left but should I leave because of one jerk; secondly I was waiting for my to go box of food.
Enough of me feeling sorry for me. Today I’m putting on my big girl sassy pants, holding my head up high and putting this experience out of my head.
As yesterday was Poem in Your Pocket Day, I wrote about that. The second piece about it being margarita day.
The daily word was WATERING CAN
That was a quick cute piece.
The daily holidays fell into place again.
Today is the last day of National Poetry Month. The month sped by quickly. I’m still celebrating into May.
It’s also Friday.
Until tomorrow....wear your red today; and as always Stay Safe.

         CONFETTI IN THE WASHER

I composed a poem for April 29th
as it was POEM in YOUR POCKET DAY
Working hard to have the piece just
    right
Satisfied....printed it....read it over once
     more
Put it in the back pocket of my shorts
Planned to pass it along to another
to read....to enjoy.....to put in their
    pocket....to pass to another
Forgot when I got to the club
  to hand it to someone
Found confetti in my washer drum
  today....left the poem nestled inside
    the shorts
Another POEM in YOUR POCKET DAY
   gone wrong

                  TRUE STORY

It’s only a few minutes after twelve
as I glance at the time
But somewhere it is five o’clock
so I will have some wine
A nice Merlot or Chardonnay
   Sangria or perhaps a Chablis
As long as it’s chilled to perfection
that is just okay with me
If no wine is available
a few beers will hit the spot
Drink whatever I have on hand at home
does not matter what I got
If at home I’m out of liquor
it’s to the club I say
Sit at the bar and socialize
   cause it is Margarita Day

                WATERING

With watering can in hand
I give my garden a drink
The liquid soaks into the thirsty earth
Soon my labors will flourish
Tomatoes, beans and cucumbers
Gardening a relaxing hobby

   WACKY HOLIDAYS APRIL 29th
(International Dance Day; National
Poem in Your Pocket Day; National
 Shrimp Scampi Day; National Zipper
Day and Walk at Lunch Day)

I think I’ll write my own poem
to put in my pocket to pass out today
Zipper would be a fun subject
after it’s complete the happy dance I’ll
    do
Have a delicious lunch of shrimp
      scampi
take a walk around the neighborhood
and give the poem from my pocket to
    the first person I see
