APRIL and POETRY MONTH....Day 19

It’s raining at the moment. Thunder rumbling and lightning flashing. It should be like this according to the weather app until around ten this morning; then the rain percent decreases.  Yes we need rain, but not heavy showers.

Yesterday I got to see my husband again. I get to the rehab facility about fifteen minutes early. I sit in the car five minutes to prepare myself and calm myself. I take deep breathes as I need a calming effect. About ten minutes before my scheduled visit I walk to go inside.  After my allotted time I then walk outside; get back in my car and cry for five minutes sometimes ten. I never cry in front of my husband.
I wrote yesterday’s piece as it is true of my life.
Sunday’s always were a day to recharge when I had worked. I composed a piece in this vain.
Terry’s word yesterday was LAMBS. I wrote an acrostic about Mary’s lamb; focusing on two different Mary’s.
The three line wacky holiday piece just fit.
I have a lot of calls to make once places open. I hope if I need to go out the rain isn’t all that heavy.  I guess I could take a rain day and move errands till tomorrow.
As it’s Monday, for poetry month I posted a piece on my Facebook page about Monday’s. It’s from the collection of April 2012 and 2013 poems in one of my boo
Until tomorrow....have a good first days of the week and as always Stay Safe.

                   THE VISIT
Relaxing in my car before my visit
need a calming effect over me
Hard to see a love one under the
    weather
Deep breathes I take before exiting the
      vehicle
Prayers that all is well with him today
Donning the required mask, I head to
      go inside
More deep breathes to calm myself
No doubt I’ll be crying before I drive
    home
The visits upset me....but I won’t cry in
      front of him

              SUNRISE and SUNSET
Sunrise....Sunday begins
A day of rest....time to recharge
   before the new week starts
Easy laid back day....enjoying sitting
outdoors with a book and glass of
      wine
Listening to music from the old
  compact disc player
Soft jazz....some forties and fifties
    tunes
Scent of spring flowers perfume the air
A light April breeze blows....the sky a
     cloudless azure
No rain in the forecast....a perfect
    afternoon
Book....
    Music....
         Wine....
A perfect way to wind down from
  a hectic Saturday
Sunset....the day comes to an end
Time for the Monday blues to take over

                        LAMBS
Little fluffy animals so meek and mild
As white as snow is their fleece
Mary had one that followed her to
    school
But another Mary had a little lamb born
    in a manger
Savior Lord Jesus was that lamb
