Well I fell asleep earlier last night.
I hate when I toss and turn half the night away.
Yesterday I enjoyed the wacky holidays. They proved to be fun.
Now Terry’s word yesterday was Hatching Eggs. The piece I composed came from my life. There is a tree on our Amvets property that needs taken down. Unfortunately a bird made a nest and laid eggs. Now until the younglings are gone from the nest can the tree be taken down. We all watch it daily to see what is happening.
I down loaded a book of writing prompts. Well a few different ones. One book mentioned about a glass half full or empty. It triggered the first piece about people’s way of seeing things; same with the second piece.
The grocery store where I go are still requiring masks. So yesterday I put mine on, but did not have it pulled up as I was walking in the parking lot. I had two people give me grief as I wasn’t wearing it correctly. I’ve had this issue before but not for awhile. I told both people I’m outside and not inside. I’ll pull it up when I get closer to where I’ll be entering store. At the rehab where my husband is, they gave me one like those worn by staff when I went to visit. They did not like the one I was wearing.
Well it’s Friday....day we wear our red to Remember Everyone Deployed.
Until tomorrow....happy Friday and as always Stay Safe.

HALF or HALF
The glass of wine is half-full
Another may see it as half-empty
It’s the perspective of the one looking
looking at it
Pessimistic's see things in a negative
light
Optimistic's view in a positive manner
Although I can see it both ways
it depends on my mood at the
moment
Right now I see a half empty glass of
wine
Like my life....not completely filled
without you

National Poetry Month can be viewed
as half over
The first fifteen days of reading, writing
and enjoying poetry has past....pessimistic individuals may have
that conclusion
But optimistically...there are many more
days to enjoy
Many poems left to read....yet to be
written
Poets to explore....fifteen days remain
A half month of celebrating poetry
Let’s not waste a minute

THE TREE
Outside in the tree at the Amvets
a bird made a nest
Eggs have been laid
Each day we all watch the bird fly from
the nest....then return
All await for the eggs to hatch
the babies to grow....take flight and
leave momma
The tree must be cut down eventually
but not while housing the bird family

WACKY HOLIDAYS APRIL 15th
(National Glazed Spiral Ham Day;
National Rubber Eraser Day; World Art
Day and That Sucks Day)
It sucks that the eraser on my pencil
gone
Can’t delete glazed spiral ham and two
other items from my grocery list
Scribbling out words on the paper
looks like a work of art
Perhaps I should frame it
