NATIONAL POETRY MONTH....Day 23

   Another piece from my life.  This was written in 2017 after hearing a sing from my youth.  It did bring back the memories I wrote about.  We all seem to think when we are young the current fashion will always be.  The latest trend in hair is a forever thing we think but we learn it’s not so. Everything changes from clothes to hair styles to music.  Think about your own youth and clothes your wore and the music you enjoyed.

     An old song from years gone by plays on the radio

  A melody from my youth

     I recall memories of a young female

     Long straight hair....ironed that morning 

   Short red skirt.....black top

  Textured hose.....knee high boots

   Miss Fashion Plate? 

        Perhaps not....

  Ah....but the songs from the mid to late sixties bring back memories of a fashion statement I thought would be forever
