NATIONAL POETRY MONTH....Day 25

As in the past few days I am posting a piece I composed from my life.   A few of the organizations which I am a member sell Jell-O shots as a fundraiser in their bar area.  I enjoy a well made one on occasion; okay maybe at least three but no more.  The day I composed this piece I had been at one of the places the day before.  They were selling those little pesky Jell-O shots.  My husband got me some in different flavors.  They were properly made or in my opinion.   There is a proper way I’m told to make them; half water and half alcohol.  Making them with all alcohol is not the best thing.  Jell-O shots should be tasty not overpowering in taste.  Unfortunately it was a very warm day and the cold Jell-O shots tasted great on this warm day.  I have made these myself for a fundraiser and found the secret to how they should taste.  Make certain the alcohol has been refrigerated prior to making the shots; at least for me that’s the way I make them; no complaints from anyone.
Enjoy your day....now I think I need to make Jell-O for dessert.

I have heard it said long time ago
'There's always room for Jell-O’

  Yesterday had it for dessert

      Delicious
            Cherry flavored
          A serving of lime
             Then a bit of orange
Cherry definitely my favorite
     Only had a few portions
         No more than eight ounces
Not too much to fill me

    'There's always room for
JELL-O' the saying goes
But afterward I felt a tad woozy
     Don't know why....
Guess I should pass on dessert from here on in
Or at least Jell-O served in
             tiny plastic cups
