FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 30th

It’s the final day of September.  I look with excitement to October and thirty-one days of Halloween.  I plan to blog about something associated with the month each day and write a piece about that item each day.  My husband, who gives me challenges, already has his items for each day listed.  No idea what is what till that day. So it’ll be a real challenge I guess I’d say.
I ended the month with a FALL and a SEPTEMBER acrostic.  My husband laughs at the last line of the September one; it’s so true that we’ve never realized it.  October we all are eating apple and pumpkin spice flavored foods as well as Halloween candy.  In November we still are devouring pumpkin flavored foods as well as cranberry.  There are cranberry muffins, breads and pumpkin pie and pumpkin squares.  Come December we head into snacking on Christmas cookies and drinking egg nog. Yes we do indulge I’ve found the last three months of the year.
I have enjoyed the acrostic month. It was different for me.  Every writer needs a challenge from time to time I guess.  I did tell my husband NO acrostic pieces for October.
September was not only challenging month to write (as my pieces are timed) but in my life.  My husband began his knee therapy also.  He is not doing stores as much as before.  Sure he’ll get back to it.  My AMVETS post reopened to a percentage of occupancy after being closed since June (second closing).  I do their ads on the Facebook page so I was busy working on them.  Many of our activities are returning slowly and we wanted to get word out a few times before they occurred.  Will things be normal again? Perhaps in a different way.
Today I reflected on why it was crazy on the roads yesterday; as well at gas place and heading into a store.  Full moon is coming.
I hope you enjoy Hump Day.
Until next time....happy last day of September and as always Stay Safe.

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 29th

Hello!  It’s Tuesday.  As a Facebook friend called it one day, Monday’s ugly sister.  Today is National Coffee Day and at the moment on cup number one.  I’m on the last days of FALL acrostic pieces.  Today I wrote about the last leaves falling.  I never liked seeing that.  It always meant winter was sneaking up behind autumn. I wrote the
AUTUMN as I thought about living up in Pennsylvania and trees outside my window. I’d love looking at the colors but not how the yard looked as leaf by leaf fell.  I did love how after the leaves turned brown they’d crunch as you walked on them.
Today I’m sharing another Halloween story involving my husband.  We happen to be talking about it a few days ago and I decided to share.  I have a really funny two part story as they were what occurred from one year to the next but related.  Stay reading for this in the coming days.
One Halloween my husband dressed up like an old woman. He had on a gray wig, old grandmother (circa 1960’s) dress, house slippers, makeup and women’s glasses (non-prescription lenses).  I came home from work and practically fell over laughing when I saw him.
We always let trick-or-treaters into the front room near the door to pick out a soda from the ice chest.  We use to give out cans of sodas instead of candy.  The kids would drink the soda if thirsty.  It worked out well.  Well as it was a woman came inside with her two kids. At the same time my older step-daughter was there with her daughter. As she was leaving she told her daughter now tell grandpa goodbye and thank you.  Well the granddaughter runs over to my husband to hug him and she says goodbye grandpa.  The woman who just came inside with the two kids stood there with a shock expression.  She said to the granddaughter “grandpa? You mean grandma don’t you?” Well granddaughter says to the woman no this is grandpa; then pointed to me and said she’s grandma. That poor woman was more confused then ever.  She looked at my husband and began to laugh.  Here the woman and the two kids actually thought my husband was a woman. She told my husband it was one of the best old lady costumes she’d ever seen.  She asked who made him up and he said he did it all himself.
It was great he had her fooled.  In fact he fooled a few others as well.
One just never knows what will happen on Halloween.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Until tomorrow....as always Stay Safe.

Shame I have no biscotti....could enjoy it with my coffee ☕️....it’s National Biscotti Day too

So I must venture out today....just looking at weather app....shows rain chances in the afternoon....that means I need to venture out early

As I look out at the window on this sunny
        October afternoon

Unique colorful leaves are covering the
      front yard

They descend quietly onto the ground from
      the elm and oak trees

Until the last leaf falls, I’ll enjoy the vibrant
       colors of the trees

Many hues of brilliant red, yellow and

Needing to rake eventually, I’ll wait till

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 28th

Monday again.  In two days we’ll say ‘goodbye‘ to September and ‘hello’ to October.  Like September there are a few holidays to celebrate.  They will be listed in a later blog. Today I did two acrostic pieces; SEPTEMBER and FALL.  The SEPTEMBER piece centers on how October will be here and things I associate with doing in the month of October.  To me it’s thirty-one days of Halloween.  Enough said right now.  The FALL piece also focuses on October and the fact we need to begin to look for our Halloween costume now.
Today’s wacky/weird holiday is National
Drink Beer Day; cheers.  Guess I’ll need to celebrate the day.
One think about October is trying to figure out a costume for Halloween.  I’ve always tried to dress up.  I recall my first year of trick-or-treating. I was four years old.  My Aunt Julia took me with others who drove us.  I lived with my grandparents at the time and we lived out in the country.  I remember the costume was a clown. I hate clowns perhaps that reason I do could be because it was my first Halloween costume. I do remember going up to the doors with other kids who had trick-or-treated before.  I had no idea what I was suppose to do but followed suit saying “trick-or-treat” and held out my bag for the treat.  One thing I did was pull off my mask and told everyone who I was.  Actually I did not enjoy doing trick-or-treating that year.  As years did go by,  I enjoyed doing so.
The last time I actually did trick-or-treating I was a senior in high school.  I took my two half-sisters after school; that evening I went along with my friend who had to take her two sisters.  Now these days I don’t get anyone coming to my place even though I turn on my light.  The days of having fun doing this has been lost by the wayside.
I do hope you all enjoy your Monday.
Until tomorrow....happy NayDrink Beer Day and as always Stay Safe.

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 27th

Today is a Sunday.  My afternoon will be spent reading.
I’ve mentioned prior I’d have some funny fall and Halloween stories. My husband’s priest story was the other day.  Here is a brief story about me.  I was a nun one year.  Halloween costumes were worn on a Friday that year at my work place. It was also pay day.  This was before I got direct deposit for my check. I wanted to cash my check so I drove to the local bank during lunch that cashed all of our company employee checks.  At the time I had a red sporty Dodge Daytona two door car.  I took two co-workers with me to the bank; dropped them off to go inside and I drove around to drive through.  Well the drive-up window teller thought I was a real nun.  My co-workers heard her talking to another teller that she thought the nun had a really nice car and how could a nun afford something so sporty.  Another co-worker that year was also dressed like a nun.  She always wore high heeled shoes. Yes she wore them with her Halloween costume.  I’m sure if she walked in anyplace in that outfit she’d get odd looks especially with wearing those shoes.
Today’s acrostics are AUTUMN and FALL. They both focus in thoughts of the season as they should.  What can I say winter is going to happen whether we like it or not.  For those in the northern states cold, ice and snow.  I do not miss winter at all.
Today I plan to head out which I did not do yesterday.  I got caught up in college football. Since nothing of any interest is on television today might as well head to the store.
I hope everyone enjoys their day.
Until tomorrow....as always Stay Safe.

This is the time of year for brilliant hues on

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 26th

Today is Saturday and that means college football day.  Hopefully there will be a few good games being shown.  Of course the Big Ten won’t be playing for a few weeks but I’ll still find some game to watch.
I ordered an item as a birthday gift for a friend and the same item for me. Now she only lives 45 miles away.  Well my item arrived on Tuesday while hers is still in transit.  I’m tracking it.  It appears it’s taking a scenic tour of the area.  I haven’t tracked it yet today but hope it arrives.
My husband gave me a writing challenge.  I was to write an acrostic using the word LEAVES.  The twist was after the first line of five words each line after had to increase by one word; next line six, then seven.  It was not easy to do.  The piece focuses on what occurs during autumn.  The second acrostic, FALL also centers on what occurs during the season.  Our days are getting shorter now, farmers are doing last if the fall harvest as we all begin to prepare for winter.  Of course living in Florida it’s a tad different to prepare for winter.  That is when I turn off my air conditioning and open windows.  I also get my long sleeve shirts out in case they are needed.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday.
Until tomorrow....as always Stay Safe.  Now to track that package.

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 25th

Hello all! It’s finally Friday. For those who work it’s TGIF.  How I remember well that day. For us retirees it’s another day.  Those who work all week will be hitting the stores and perhaps pubs and bars.
It’s Friday and the day we don our red to Remember Everyone Deployed; Support our Troops.
Yesterday I enjoyed the unplugging of myself from news.  I plan to this this once a week.  Of course now today I see what I missed and it gets me in a not happy mood.
In fact I read my ton or so it seemed of comments on stuff I shared on Facebook and looks like time to weed out my friends list.
My acrostic pieces about fall come from different thoughts. The first being a walk in the woods on a clear October day.  The trees so colorful that the couple take photos. I’ve been there just walking in the woods in the fall looking at the beauty of the trees. There were times I was unaware of chipmunks, squirrels and birds around me. As for the piece on the falling leaves, it came to mind as I recall having to rake leaves.  That was one chore I hated to do as a child.  Seemed like the raking be done and ten more leaves fell in the meantime. A never ending battle I use to think; although the leaves made a nice carpet in the ground. Well the colorful leaves looked good till they turned brown.
I hope everyone enjoys their Friday.
Until next time....wear your RED today and as always Stay Safe.

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 24th

As I think of it being fall I realize each month has one or two holidays I celebrate.  Halloween approaches in October; followed by Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving; then December it’s St.Nicholas Day, first day of winter, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.  This year can’t end soon enough.
I mentioned I’d give personal stories about Halloween.  Here’s one about when I worked.  One of the supervisors were having a party at her house.  My husband and I attended.  I just threw on an orange sweatshirt and black leggings and Halloween socks.  My husband had on costume that made him look like a priest.  Well one of the attendees had a bit to drink; now mind you the guy wasn’t drunk but feeling pretty good. He asked my husband who he was.  My husband answered “I’m Father Murphy”.  Before he could get a chance to walk away after answering this guy, the guy, which I’ll just call Sam (but not  his real identity) pulls my husband along to sit in a chair next to him.  Sam then begins to tell my husband his confession. My husband tried constantly to interrupt Sam but Sam keep on talking.  It had to be a good twenty minutes when someone asked where my husband was.  I said I think he’s in with a group watching a college football game.  I find out he’s actually off in yet another room talking with Sam.  Finally my husband reappears.  He tells me Sam actually mistook him for a priest and began to give him a confession.  I asked my husband what did you say in return.  The reply from my husband was; “I told him as this was a party I couldn’t listen to confession as I’ve been drinking so he should say two Hail Marys and an Our Father anyhow; and go to confession ASAP in the next week.  I told him it’s not proper for a priest to hear confessions when the priest has been drinking.”  Evidently Sam did believe my husband about priests listen to confession while consuming drinks. If this is true it not, I’m Catholic and not sure. But it was a good excuse for my husband to tell this guy.  Of course for the rest of the evening he kept calling my husband Father.  Sam never caught on who my husband actually was.  About a month later my husband and I ran into Sam at the bar where everyone gathered Friday evenings. He asked my husband if they ever met as he looked familiar.  My husband told him no but you may have met my brother who was at the Halloween party, he is a priest.
My husband has had some really funny costumes thrown together over the years.  This was just one of them.
Today I’m unplugging from news.  Enough said.
My acrostics FALL and AUTUMN focus around this time of year.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Until next time....as always Stay Safe.

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 23rd

Its Hump Day!  That means on Wednesday I usually lunch at my American Legion Post.  Today I’ll be lunching there, having my usually, a bacon cheeseburger with extra pickles on the side.  I’m predictable it seems.
Well yesterday was the first day of fall and I’m beginning my fall traditions.  Yesterday I purchased my yearly bag of candy corn which I’ll open around the fifteenth of October and have my fifteen pieces. Hopefully I’ll be able to make my yearly candy corn snack mix for a give away at the club.
I’m still figuring out my Halloween outfit.  Years ago I purchased an orange blazer and have worn it last few years.  I wore it with a black skirt and black shirt one year; black shirt and black shirt another year; last year with black Halloween shirt and orange shorts.  Not sure what I’ll do this year with the blazer if anything. Over the years I’ve found doing costumes from what you have in your closet easiest.  I’m not one to spend a fortune on something you wear one day.  I’ve visited websites that give ideas on using what you have for a costume or creating something inexpensive.  I do enjoy dressing up though.
Yesterday I could not believe the traffic that was on the roads.  No idea where everyone was headed but I felt as if they are were going the same place as me. The Walgreens I shop at so packed.  We found a parking spot only to have the person next to us over the lines into two spots. Some people like their half of the road and more.
I wrote my acrostic about missing the fall.  It sort of came to me as I looked out at the palm trees this morning.  A slight breeze has their fronds swaying.  Of course it was my choice to move south; I should remember that.
It’s Wednesday so I hope everyone has a good day.
Until tomorrow....as always Stay Safe.

hear of snow storms up north

Naturally winter I do not miss, only autumn

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 22nd

Fall has arrived.  I do love the fall.  The colors; the weather; the activities and the  holidays. Veteran’s Day my favorite patriotic fall holiday and Halloween my favorite fun one.  I enjoy apple, pumpkin and now pear flavored beverages.  Apple and pumpkin flavored foods.  Candy corn season is in full swing.  Ok so many are not candy corn lovers.  I actually am not now that I’m older but I MUST have a bag of the tri-color candy in my house.  This all goes back to my childhood and the candy corn incident. Now each year, since I’ve been told the story (I was about fifteen) I would get a bag of this sweet confection and eat some. Since my twenties it’s only fifteen pieces; five in memory of three people that centers around the story. What I do with the remainder is mix it in container with a bag of Chex Mix, some peanuts and small pretzel twists to make a snack to be given away.  I really enjoy haunted houses, hayrides and old forties and fifties spooky movies.  I do have a few paranormal books which I’ll read in October.  Let’s just say I WELCOME FALL
Today I’ll have a toast to the season with a drink of Captain MorganPumpkin Spice Rum and Coke Zero.  Over the next few days weeks I’ll share an occasion glimpse of fall fun from my past.  Halloween escapades as well as a haunted house or hayride story are a few; as well as dressing up at my place of work and the costumes I thought out did others.
Today I reflected on now that hubby has the handicapped parking permit he has trouble finding a handicapped parking spot. Prior to getting one they were always available and this is only most recent he was issued the permit.
My acrostic spells AUTUMN.  It is about seasons changing but there’s a twist that in Florida there are five; pollen, love bug, summer, hurricane and snowbird.  Winter usually is not more than a few cold days; spring seems to be early summer and fall during the winter months but this is my opinion.  Funny about love bugs that season happens twice.
Today is National Ice Cream Cone Day so why not some pumpkin ice cream.
Until next time....enjoy the first day of fall and as always Stay Safe.

So odd for sure....before hubby got his handicapped parking permit, we’d see open handicapped spaces all the time....not now

It must be Murphy’s Law....yesterday not one space left at Publix....he stayed in the car....I went inside

Perhaps we went during prime shopping hours....then maybe everyone wanted to pick up deli items....as the deli was packed for sure

Another season begins today....‘WELCOME
       FALL

Unfortunately if you live in the South....it’s
       still summery weather

The change of the seasons must be
     endured....no matter where you live

Unlike Florida where the seasons are a tad
       different....there are five

Many label the seasons as pollen, love bug,
      summer, hurricane and snowbird

Not so funny....especially since love bug
    season is twice a year

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 21st

Another week begins.  One more day of summer as tomorrow fall begins. Of course with the weather here in Florida it’s hard to tell.  My air conditioner is still going off and on as always.  Tomorrow I’ll probably reminisce on autumn days of when I was younger and lived up north.
This morning I decided to look out the window to the west instead of east to watch sunrise. I was very entertained as the neighbor next door was out trying to coax her cat down from a tree.  The cat ran up the tree for some reason. It was funny as the woman stood there with her hands on her hips calling to the cat.  Well it was a good ten minute show as I drank my coffee and watched.  Finally she just walked away; the cat then came down.  I guess the cat wanted to show who is the boss.
My acrostic spells APPLES today. Apples to me are a fall thing.  I use to always go to a roadside stand a local orchard in my area had for apples and cider. I wondered about other fruit picked in fall and found pears are also picked in autumn.  Only reason I looked up that information was due to the purchase of pear cider (beer) that came in the same package with apple flavored beer.  I wondered why pear; I could see a pumpkin spice flavored but pear intrigued me.  That’s when I read that in one part of the country pears are harvested in fall. I seemed to get off in a tangent.  Back to what I was talking about before.   As for the acrostic piece today it focuses on simple and not to expensive autumn activities.  Apple picking is fun for a family or just a group of friends.  Going to a high school football game is not only entertaining but shows support for the local school.  Fall is a time for doing the last of fun outdoor activities before hibernating for the winter. As I got older I did not do outside activities in winter.  I’d find things to keep me entertained until spring.  With autumn beginning tomorrow, think about some fun things to do before winter arrives. The acrostic only gives a few, but there are so many more.
Until tomorrow....enjoy the last day of summer and as always Stay Safe.

So as I look out my window to the west I see a cat in a tree....my neighbor’s cat....and there stands my neighbor trying to coax it down

Wonder if she’ll call a hunky fireman to help get it out of the tree....do they even respond to these kind of calls these days....a good pondering for sure

Well I’m highly entertained while having coffee....guess I get amused at times by little things....ok what’s next today

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 20th

Sunday upon us again.  The week and weekend just hurried on by.  This morning I tried to watch the sun come up but as I looked out the window it was overcast. Looking at the weather app it showed rain later.  I’m trying to think about my Sunday reading. I have so many books and can never decide what I’m in the mood for at any given moment.  But seems I’ve dedicate Sunday’s to read one author till I’ve read all their books I own.  I’ll read that particular authors book on Sunday; then put it aside till the next week.  It has been working well for me.
My acrostic today is LEAVES.  I have been sneaking a peek at different pictures of leaves on the internet.  It takes me back to years of going for rides just to see the fall colors.  My favorite part of the ride would be a road side stand where apples and pumpkins could be purchased.  I was never good at carving so, I’d make a face on the pumpkin with a marker; sometimes throw an old baseball cap or old hat on it.
Over the years I’ve seen some amazing pumpkin carvings as well as clever ways to display them.  One of my favorite pumpkin pictures I’ve seen on the internet is the ‘mooning pumpkin’ followed by the funny picture when pumpkins drink too much. Is there a favorite pumpkin photo for you? Are you a good pumpkin carver?
Today’s wacky/weird holiday which I don’t find wacky or weird is WIFE APPRECIATION DAY.  What’s wacky or weird about that?
So until next time....have a blessed Sunday and as always Stay Safe.

So I watch as the sun tries to peek through the clouds.....weather app shows overcast at the moment....app shows rain later

Another quiet day for me....it’s Sunday so that means reading day for me....no TV today....there is nothing of interest on television today

It’s continuing reading books by Phyllis Whitney....then again I do have Fern Michaels latest Sisterhood book I begin

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 19th

It was a Good Friday.  Hubby’s second therapy on his knee went well with the heat and cold treatments.  Next week he’s not sure what will be done.  After a shopping errand and visit to my Amvets post it was out for lunch.  I finally got to play TAP TV again.  Of course hubby won more games but I do think I was concentrating on my meal and drink.  I did find something new I liked to eat from there, so I know I’ll have it again.  I enjoy shrimp and have one place I get Buffalo Shrimp; now where I was yesterday they had a Cajun Shrimp.  Oh my so tasty.  Talk about Cajun this definitely was.  The shrimp spicy.  I can eat spicy foods but this actually had me tearing up a bit.   I’ll know next time to ask for water and not rely on my wine to cool my mouth.  Live and learn I say.
I was very happy to give a POW/MIA pin to our Amvets bartender yesterday.  It made me happy I was making people aware of the day by wearing my shirt and ball cap.  Hubby and I did a toast to POW/MIAs then a silent prayer for them and their families. After we had a toast to the Air Force on their birthday finally our every Friday toast to our deployed troops and prayer for their return home. Every Friday we’ve been doing a toast to the deployed troops and prayer for their safety. Just something we do.
Today is a quiet day. College football will be played today.  It is my Saturday fall routine.  Right now it doesn’t matter which team I watch, but when Big Ten returns it’s Penn State all the way.
My acrostic piece again deals with reminder of what the fall season brings.
I hope everyone has a great day.
Until next time....as always Stay Safe.

Looking forward to Big 10 returning some time in October....till then I’ll watch whatever comes on TV

Did not enjoy TAP TV yesterday....Murph won more games than me....then I was concentrating on my bucket of sangria

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 18th

Today is an interesting day as it’s Friday. First it is the day we always wear our REDRemember Everyone Deployed.
Secondly it is POW/MIA Recognition Day.
This day falls on the third Friday of September each year.
Thirdly it is September 18th, the 73rd Birthday of the U.SAir Force.
Lots of interesting things to honor this Friday.
I will later have a toast to the Air Force; have moment of silence to remember the POW/MIA and wear my red wrist band today for those deployed.
Today my hubby goes to therapy day two. He said all was well yesterday.  He felt better for awhile but the pain returned which is normal.
I did the acrostic piece on the fact it’s POW/MIA Recognition Day. Last year I wrote a piece I read at a ceremony but with all this COVID issues no ceremony is scheduled to attend.
I hope everyone takes a moment for reflection for those who are still unaccounted for, their remains found and pray their families find closure eventually.
Until next time....have a good day and as always Stay Safe.

Friday, the third one in September, we
gather to remember those who are still
       unaccounted for

As a nation we recognize those who
are Prisoners of War and those Missing
        in Action

Let us pray their families find closure one
day and their remains find their way
          home

Long as the POW/MIA flag flies in the
breeze we will always remember and
       never forget

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 17th

Oh happy day I say.  I’m going along with hubby to his therapy on his knee.  This is his first session so I’m wondering how it’ll go. I may need to drive him back home.
One never knows about these things for sure.
As for rest of my day, I’ll see what goes.
My acrostic piece deals with seasonal footwear change.  When I lived in Pennsylvania I’d wear sandals in summer but come fall switch back to shoes and socks before heavier footwear in winter.  Now I get away with sandals year around. When it is cold in Florida we just wear socks with our sandals.  I’ve seen women wear toe socks with flip flops.  If I still had toe socks I’d be that person for sure.
Well it’s off to therapy in ten minutes.  Need to list this. Just hope all goes well.
Until tomorrow....have a good day and as always Stay Safe.

Today I wonder how hubby’s first therapy session on his knee will go....I think I’ll head along in case I need to drive him home

It’s a crap shoot if I go or not....know it’ll be best to wait in car....social distancing at the place of course is why

I’ll have a mask in my purse in case I get flack about not having one....at least I can take me Kindle along to keep me entertained....my exciting Thursday

FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 16th

It’s Hump Day!  I’ve changed the name to suit myself, Trash Bin day.  It’s garbage and recyclable pick up day.  My bin and I took our weekly stroll to the curb.  I reflected on this today.  What I can not understand is this; why do some of my neighbors put out their trash bins early on Tuesday?  It’s a pondering for me. I get up early enough to put mine out, so why can’t they? But this is my opinion.
This morning I actually saw as the sun started to come up as I looked out the window. Last few days it’s been overcast.  I’d think with it being overcast the temperatures would not feel humid but the ‘feels like temperature’ was higher then actually temperatures.  That’s part of living in the south I guess.
My acrostic centers on the fact October is fifteen days away.  With that in mind it’s the last quarter of 2020 and last three months of the year.  Let’s hope these last 92 days (October 1st to December 31st) are a lot better than what we’ve had all year.  It’s sure been a crazy year.  If this were an amusement park ride I be happy to get off and go onto a better one.
There are quite a few interesting wacky/weird holidays today, but one not so weird/wacky. It is American Legion Day.  I just found out about this yesterday when I was searching today’s wacky/weird holidays. It was this day in 1919 Congress granted the federal charter to the organization.  As a member of the Legion since 1976; I was a charter member (veteran) of a new legion post. I have seen many of the good works done by the organization in my years of holding membership.  I am proud to be a member of the organization and member of my current post in Florida (Post 69).  They say it takes a village to raise a child; I feel it takes a good group of dedicated individuals to keep an American Post going.  It’s not just the veteran members of the organization but the auxiliary, the Sons of the Legion and if they have a charter also the Legion Riders.  So today I say Happy American Legion Day to all who are members in one capacity or another.
Until next time....as always enjoy your day and Stay Safe.

Funny how this month seemed to go by so
    quickly

As soon as we know it, October will be
   upon us

Last quarter of the year, wonder what’ll it
      bring

Let’s hope the last three months go better
      than the first nine
