FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 11th

Today is a solemn day.  It’s September 11th.
A day I’ll always remember.  I recall exactly where I was and what I was doing.
I wrote a poem that I’ll be reading at a ceremony later today.  It is to the point I feel.  The acrostic is about 9/11.  I was able to take the word FALL to write about that day also.
The following piece I copied from a friend. It is appropriate for today.
Until next time....enjoy your Friday and as always Stay Safe.

I copied this from a friend and changed the year and added few other words.
**On September 10 evening....19 years ago, 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning tomorrow. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00 am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.**

Where were you the morning the towers
       fell?
What were you doing when the Pentagon
       was attacked?
Do you recall the moment the plane
     crashed in Somerset County,
            Pennsylvania?

On this day, nineteen years ago
I remember very well
 where I was
     what I was doing
I recall the whole tragic day
        It’ll stay with me forever

Two thousand nine hundred seventy-seven
     lives lost senselessly
More than six thousand injured
Why?
   Why?
        Why?
No one can give an answer

Terrorists attacked our nation
    Changing our country
United we became in those days after
Flags we proudly displayed at our
       workplaces and home

We need to NEVER forget that day
   We need to stay vigilant
We need to keep united as one nation

Remember this day
  Remember those who died
Remember who lost family, friends and
          acquaintances

As a nation we will remember....
   and......
    never forget Tuesday,
         September 11, 200

Fallen the Twin Towers on that September
     morning when America attacked

Another terrorists group hijacked a plane
     crashing into the Pentagon

Last plane crashed in Somerset County,
    Pennsylvania, so many deaths

Little did we realize how it would still affect
   us nineteen years later

       WE WILL NEVER FORGET 9/11
