FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 18th

Today is an interesting day as it’s Friday. First it is the day we always wear our REDRemember Everyone Deployed.
Secondly it is POW/MIA Recognition Day.
This day falls on the third Friday of September each year.
Thirdly it is September 18th, the 73rd Birthday of the U.SAir Force.
Lots of interesting things to honor this Friday.
I will later have a toast to the Air Force; have moment of silence to remember the POW/MIA and wear my red wrist band today for those deployed.
Today my hubby goes to therapy day two. He said all was well yesterday.  He felt better for awhile but the pain returned which is normal.
I did the acrostic piece on the fact it’s POW/MIA Recognition Day. Last year I wrote a piece I read at a ceremony but with all this COVID issues no ceremony is scheduled to attend.
I hope everyone takes a moment for reflection for those who are still unaccounted for, their remains found and pray their families find closure eventually.
Until next time....have a good day and as always Stay Safe.

September 18th....DAILY REFLECTIONS

As I sit with my morning coffee I look out into the darkness....up before the birds....up before dawn....I think about it being Friday

Today is the third Friday in September....it’s POW/MIA Recognition Day....it’s Friday, the day we wear our RED....REMEMBER
EVERYONE DEPLOYED....it is September 18th, the 73rd Birthday of the U.S. Air Force

Interesting Friday definitely today....it’s the wearing of my red shirt and wrist band....it’s wearing my POW/MIA hat, wrist band and necklace today....and a drink to the Air Forces birthday

Friday, the third one in September, we
gather to remember those who are still
       unaccounted for

As a nation we recognize those who
are Prisoners of War and those Missing
        in Action

Let us pray their families find closure one
day and their remains find their way
          home

Long as the POW/MIA flag flies in the
breeze we will always remember and
       never forget
