FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 7th

 

Today is Labor Day!  It’s also National Beer Lovers Day!  As I’ve said time and again today is the last day of summer for me; of course fall begins actually in a few weeks. 

Unfortunately as I’ve also said before I like fall and miss it as I now live in the south.  What I miss are the leaves changing; roadside apple stands from the local orchard and fall events such as fairs, hayrides and haunted houses.  I enjoyed doing these events which were a lot of fun. I even had the opportunity to participate in working in a haunted house production for a few years.  What fun!  I enjoyed decorating the one room in our house as being scary for trick-or-treaters. Unfortunately I don’t have them show up where I now live.  I loved dressing up and going out to adult parties also.  Halloween isn’t just for kids anymore. 

Today I composed two pieces that actually came to mind at two o’clock this morning.  They popped into my head when I woke up. Perhaps I’d been dreaming about a place that served beer.  It’s National Beer Lovers Day so that was in my mind when I fell asleep.  I wrote an acrostic for BEER also. 

As it’s the last holiday of summer, hope you have a good day.

September 7th....DAILY THOUGHTS 

Labor Day today....always to me it meant the end of summer....time to put out my Halloween decorations 

Today being September 7th, it’s National Beer Lovers Day....I guess I’ll celebrate with a brew of summer shandy....as tomorrow fall begins for me....fall drink time

A new week begins today....what will it bring....what new issues will we deal with next

Today is September the seventh and      

     National Beer Lovers Day 

Hear me shout out to the world yeah hip 

      hip hooray 

Draft mug, can or bottle doesn’t matter 

    what it’s in 

The vessel can be aluminum, glass, a 

   plastic cup or tin

You can call it beer, a brew or just call it an 

         ale 

Liquid of golden yellow hue, dark, red or a 

        pale 

So I’ll celebrate the day by having myself 

        some beer

Like Halloween, National Beer Lovers Day 

     only comes once a year
