Today is Saturday and that means college football day. Hopefully there will be a few good games being shown. Of course the Big Ten won’t be playing for a few weeks but I’ll still find some game to watch.
I ordered an item as a birthday gift for a friend and the same item for me. Now she only lives 45 miles away. Well my item arrived on Tuesday while hers is still in transit. I’m tracking it. It appears it’s taking a scenic tour of the area. I haven’t tracked it yet today but hope it arrives.
My husband gave me a writing challenge. I was to write an acrostic using the word LEAVES. The twist was after the first line of five words each line after had to increase by one word; next line six, then seven. It was not easy to do. The piece focuses on what occurs during autumn. The second acrostic, FALL also centers on what occurs during the season. Our days are getting shorter now, farmers are doing last if the fall harvest as we all begin to prepare for winter. Of course living in Florida it’s a tad different to prepare for winter. That is when I turn off my air conditioning and open windows. I also get my long sleeve shirts out in case they are needed.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday.
Until tomorrow....as always Stay Safe. Now to track that package.
September 26th....DAILY REFLECTIONS

College football today....right now doesn’t matter who is on TV....I’ll watch a game....Go Gators
I’m still tracking the gift I got for my friend for her birthday....I ordered same item at same time....mine arrived....hers is still in transit... we live 45 miles away....go figure

SEASON HAPPENINGS

Light of day fades
Each day earlier and earlier
As the season of winter approaches
Very soon our woolens we will wear
Everyone prepares for the cold, ice and
snow
Shivering when headed outdoors, counting
the days till spring

FALL (26)

Fall arrives with the promise of vibrant
colors on the trees
As the farmers harvest for perhaps the last
time
Light of day fades into darkness earlier
Longer nights ahead as we prepare for
wintery days of gray
