Fall has arrived. I do love the fall. The colors; the weather; the activities and the holidays. Veteran’s Day my favorite patriotic fall holiday and Halloween my favorite fun one. I enjoy apple, pumpkin and now pear flavored beverages. Apple and pumpkin flavored foods. Candy corn season is in full swing. Ok so many are not candy corn lovers. I actually am not now that I’m older but I MUST have a bag of the tri-color candy in my house. This all goes back to my childhood and the candy corn incident. Now each year, since I’ve been told the story (I was about fifteen) I would get a bag of this sweet confection and eat some. Since my twenties it’s only fifteen pieces; five in memory of three people that centers around the story. What I do with the remainder is mix it in container with a bag of Chex Mix, some peanuts and small pretzel twists to make a snack to be given away. I really enjoy haunted houses, hayrides and old forties and fifties spooky movies. I do have a few paranormal books which I’ll read in October. Let’s just say I WELCOME FALL.
Today I’ll have a toast to the season with a drink of Captain MorganPumpkin Spice Rum and Coke Zero. Over the next few days weeks I’ll share an occasion glimpse of fall fun from my past. Halloween escapades as well as a haunted house or hayride story are a few; as well as dressing up at my place of work and the costumes I thought out did others.
Today I reflected on now that hubby has the handicapped parking permit he has trouble finding a handicapped parking spot. Prior to getting one they were always available and this is only most recent he was issued the permit.
My acrostic spells AUTUMN. It is about seasons changing but there’s a twist that in Florida there are five; pollen, love bug, summer, hurricane and snowbird. Winter usually is not more than a few cold days; spring seems to be early summer and fall during the winter months but this is my opinion. Funny about love bugs that season happens twice.
Today is National Ice Cream Cone Day so why not some pumpkin ice cream.
Until next time....enjoy the first day of fall and as always Stay Safe.

September 22nd....DAILY REFLECTIONS
So odd for sure....before hubby got his handicapped parking permit, we’d see open handicapped spaces all the time....not now
It must be Murphy’s Law....yesterday not one space left at Publix....he stayed in the car....I went inside
Perhaps we went during prime shopping hours....then maybe everyone wanted to pick up deli items....as the deli was packed for sure

Another season begins today....‘WELCOME
FALL’
Unfortunately if you live in the South....it’s
still summery weather
The change of the seasons must be
endured....no matter where you live
Unlike Florida where the seasons are a tad
different....there are five
Many label the seasons as pollen, love bug,
summer, hurricane and snowbird
Not so funny....especially since love bug
season is twice a year
