FALLING INTO SEPTEMBER....September 10th

Another short read day!

Today is an early morning for me. I was up before the sun and birds.  Now I need a ton of coffee.  I’m wondering what issues I’ll have out doing errands today.  After all it’s every time I go places anymore it’s one thing or another.  I’m thinking it’s the pandemic bothering people or uncertainty about things.
My FALL acrostic today deals with pumpkin picking. I always enjoyed picking out pumpkins for outside and inside the house.
The small ones were my favorite for table decorating.  The other verse on autumn days reflects on what entails the season.  Of course here in Florida there is no leave changing and no chilling crisp air as up north.  The air conditioning still is turned on due to humid days. I am looking forward to when it can be turned off again; and opening windows.  Tomorrow will be a solemn day for us all.
Until next time....have a good day and as always Stay Safe.

Finding the perfect pumpkins each year
      not an easy task

As I stroll through the pumpkin patch there
too many from which to choose

Larger pumpkins will be placed outdoors
on the porch, smaller ones for indoor
         table decor

Looking for the ideal pumpkins an October
       tradition I enjoy

September has arrived brining the season
     of fall
The air becomes crisper and cooler
while daylight begins to fade earlier
Leaves falling from the trees swirl in the
     breeze
A whirl wind of brilliant hues of various
orange, red and yellow create a colorful
carpet on the ground before changing to
         shades of brown
The final harvest completed by farmers
they prepare for the coming winter
We enjoy pumpkin patches, hayrides, corn
     mazes and haunted venues
Friday night football returns at high schools
College fans of flock to football stadiums on
     Saturday
We look forward to the season of autumn
holidays of Halloween, Veteran’s Day and
        Thanksgiving
We bask in the warm days of Indian
    Summer before the first snowfall
