Today is a Sunday. My afternoon will be spent reading.
I’ve mentioned prior I’d have some funny fall and Halloween stories. My husband’s priest story was the other day. Here is a brief story about me. I was a nun one year. Halloween costumes were worn on a Friday that year at my work place. It was also pay day. This was before I got direct deposit for my check. I wanted to cash my check so I drove to the local bank during lunch that cashed all of our company employee checks. At the time I had a red sporty Dodge Daytona two door car. I took two co-workers with me to the bank; dropped them off to go inside and I drove around to drive through. Well the drive-up window teller thought I was a real nun. My co-workers heard her talking to another teller that she thought the nun had a really nice car and how could a nun afford something so sporty. Another co-worker that year was also dressed like a nun. She always wore high heeled shoes. Yes she wore them with her Halloween costume. I’m sure if she walked in anyplace in that outfit she’d get odd looks especially with wearing those shoes.
Today’s acrostics are AUTUMN and FALL. They both focus in thoughts of the season as they should. What can I say winter is going to happen whether we like it or not. For those in the northern states cold, ice and snow. I do not miss winter at all.
Today I plan to head out which I did not do yesterday. I got caught up in college football. Since nothing of any interest is on television today might as well head to the store.
I hope everyone enjoys their day.
Until tomorrow....as always Stay Safe.

September 27th....DAILY REFLECTIONS
Rain kept me awake last night....now it’s bright and sunny out....but rain chances between 3&7pm again today
Sunday means nothing on TV of any interest....guess I’ll go out to get few things I need at the store....did not do it yesterday
College football interesting yesterday....I watched games that were being shown....looking at the scores Gators won their game....Army lost theirs

SEASON PREP

As birds begin their migration, we know fall
arrived
Unfolding before us leaves begin to change
color
This is the time of year for brilliant hues on
the trees
Umber leaves will eventually cover the
ground, needing to be raked
Mother Nature’s way of preparing us for the
season ahead
Nothing we can do to stop winter from
following fall

THE INEVITABLE

Following fall the winter season happens
And we must prepare to accept the
inevitable
Leaves float quietly to the ground
Leaving the trees bare until the spring
