Another week begins. One more day of summer as tomorrow fall begins. Of course with the weather here in Florida it’s hard to tell. My air conditioner is still going off and on as always. Tomorrow I’ll probably reminisce on autumn days of when I was younger and lived up north.
This morning I decided to look out the window to the west instead of east to watch sunrise. I was very entertained as the neighbor next door was out trying to coax her cat down from a tree. The cat ran up the tree for some reason. It was funny as the woman stood there with her hands on her hips calling to the cat. Well it was a good ten minute show as I drank my coffee and watched. Finally she just walked away; the cat then came down. I guess the cat wanted to show who is the boss.
My acrostic spells APPLES today. Apples to me are a fall thing. I use to always go to a roadside stand a local orchard in my area had for apples and cider. I wondered about other fruit picked in fall and found pears are also picked in autumn. Only reason I looked up that information was due to the purchase of pear cider (beer) that came in the same package with apple flavored beer. I wondered why pear; I could see a pumpkin spice flavored but pear intrigued me. That’s when I read that in one part of the country pears are harvested in fall. I seemed to get off in a tangent. Back to what I was talking about before. As for the acrostic piece today it focuses on simple and not to expensive autumn activities. Apple picking is fun for a family or just a group of friends. Going to a high school football game is not only entertaining but shows support for the local school. Fall is a time for doing the last of fun outdoor activities before hibernating for the winter. As I got older I did not do outside activities in winter. I’d find things to keep me entertained until spring. With autumn beginning tomorrow, think about some fun things to do before winter arrives. The acrostic only gives a few, but there are so many more.
Until tomorrow....enjoy the last day of summer and as always Stay Safe.

September 21st....DAILY REFLECTIONS
So as I look out my window to the west I see a cat in a tree....my neighbor’s cat....and there stands my neighbor trying to coax it down
Wonder if she’ll call a hunky fireman to help get it out of the tree....do they even respond to these kind of calls these days....a good pondering for sure
Well I’m highly entertained while having coffee....guess I get amused at times by little things....ok what’s next today
