It’s getting to be a real challenge with the funny/odd words of the day. Again we were given a gem of a word for Wednesday, TOHUBOHU. The word means chaos and confusion. As soon as I saw the word, the four line piece popped into my head. I hurried to type up the thought. Then I saw the piece I titled PERPLEXED in bits and pieces. I decided to use as many words (odd words) that convey being confused and yes perplexed. Yes I did find quite a few. Indeed this was a fun verse to write.
The daily word fits things going on in the world at the moment.
As we wind down January with only a few days left, I look forward to February. My daily holiday countdown will list the birthday QUEEN/QUEENS and/or KING/KINGS of the day. Last year or perhaps a year before I only listed the birthday QUEENS of the day on their birthday, but a guy seemed miffed I did not list the KINGS. This year I’ll be listing the KINGS as well. On my birthday I put on my tiara and go out for lunch. I generally go to the place that gives me a free pitcher of draft beer (saves me nine dollars). Many restaurants offer a birthday dessert or appetizer; there is one that offers a meal but they are chain restaurants. I have been supporting the non-chains these days. They are locally owned and I’ve rather just support them. These local businesses support many of the local veterans groups and help more in the local community.
So once February arrives the tiara goes on the head; of course my husband feels I need to wear the BITCH BONNET too. Guess it’ll depend on my mood for the day.
Today I’ll going to have to prioritize my day. I see it is already in a state of TOHUBOHU and I haven’t even had my second cup of coffee.
It’s Friday Eve! The wacky/weird holidays today are RUBBER DUCKY DAY (yes there are actually three days to celebrate the rubber ducky); NATIONAL BLUEBERRY PANCAKE DAY; NATIONAL HAVE FUN at WORK DAY and NATIONAL KAZOO DAY. I have a kazoo in a junk drawer. Perhaps I’ll get it out today and play. I’ll be taking Duckie my rubber ducky out with me today. Trying figure out how to use it
Is the reason why I am muddled
