NEW YEAR BEGINS....Day 10

Short read today!

Hope my blog from yesterday gave you a chuckle or two.

I read a series where one of the main characters added a new word or two daily to his word list. He then worked hard to use it in his vocabulary.  I think if he were a real person, not a fictional character, he’d love this months word challenge.  I can just picture him now figuring out how to use the word for January 9th in a sentence.  Well I’m sure the author would do a good job for sure.
Me, I’m not to certain how I’d use  BORBORYGMUS in conversation. Perhaps tell someone that their borborygmus is distracting me.
I really don’t think I’d be using that word anytime soon.
Actually I’m glad this word had the definition with it.  Seeing it before reading what it means, I thought it was an adjective to describe a person who is boring.  I can see it being like this, “He’s such a borborygmus”.
It does seem funny.
So I did the first piece that the word is so pretentious that I’d never use it.  The second piece goes hand in hand that I need to figure out how to use it.  As for the third piece, well since it happens to us all we need to deal with it.  I’ve been sort of embarrassed when my stomach rumbled but it’s a part of life like passing gas.  It just happens.
Now with this all being said, I hope your Sunday is great.
Until tomorrow....I hope you don’t experience borborygmus today; and as always Stay Safe.

                    IT IS WHAT IT IS

Some words are odd
 Some words are strange
   Some words are weird
     Some words are funny
There are many I’ve never heard before
or that matter read in any book
Borborygmus is such a word....don’t think
     I’ll ever use it
Sounds like a pretentious word just to
describe a rumbling noise in the stomach
Just call it what it is....tummy rumble
  much cuter description

                    FIGURE IT OUT

There is pettifogger, tittynope and
    cattywampus let’s not forget codswallop
Words that are bizarre, weird, unusual and funny sounding....but no one uses them in
        their vocabulary
        or perhaps they do
           but....not around me
Everyday a new word to add to my list
Borborygmus....the new word I learned
      today
Will I ever use it? Only time will tell
I just need to figure out how to use it in
       everyday conversation

                     DEAL WITH IT

Borborygmus does not describe a boring
    person
You’d think it would be so
  I can hear it now
“He is such a borborygmus, he made us all
yawn when he spoke to us”
Instead Borborygmus a rumbling sound in
     the stomach area....it can cause
           embarrassment to some
But borborygmus it’s just a part of life that
we all must deal with from time to time
