NAMBY-PAMBY the word for Wednesday, January 20th. I’ve heard the word time and again. I’ve known and still know quite a few people who fit this description. In fact I think there are more and more who are namby-pamby as time goes on. Each piece I wrote came to my mind immediately. The third composed about a man who is hen pecked as well as being namby-pamby. Although I could see the daily word used as a synonym for hen pecked.
In the second four line story I told it like it is that some people follow the masses like a flock of sheep. Enough said in those few lines as it’s quite the truth.
I wrote first piece about a woman finding her courage. She decides enough is enough; and she leaves her husband. The thing is he won’t miss her until he needs something. I enjoyed doing this word yesterday. Such an appropriate word with what yesterday was.
Today is Friday Eve! Tomorrow I’ll be celebrating my hubby’s birthday; he wanted a quiet birthday week and has had one.
Until tomorrow....it’s National Granola Day; National Hug Day; National Cheesy Socks Day and International Sweatpants Day.
So put on your favorite sweatpants with a pair of cheesy socks hug someone and have a granola bar; and as always Stay Safe.

FINDING COURAGE
It took awhile but she finally found the
gumption to stand up for herself
He told her she was namby-pamby
constantly giving her so much anguish
Standing at the front door with her
suitcases near by....she found the
courage
He just sat there watching the playoff game
not noticing her....didn’t hear her shout
“I’m leaving”
Oblivious was he....she walked out the
door....beaming with joy
He’d probably miss her at halftime when he
wanted snacks and another beer

SHEEP
Too many namby-pamby people
All a flock of sheep
Baa....baa...baa
Afraid to speak their mind
No original thoughts do they have

MR. MILK TOAST
He was such a namby-pamby person
Never stood up for his convictions
Just let everyone walk over him
His wife had him hen pecked for sure
