When I saw the word for January 17th, the words for the two pieces just came to me.
Actually this is a truth about me; let us call it memoir free style poems. I’m not going to give a full description of my life but let’s say I know these two people and I did what I had to do. Yes, I felt much better afterwards.
I know many of us have met or known cantankerous people. They have no reason that they are this way. It’s sometimes hard to change.
When I think of cantankerous people the two guys in the audience on the “Muppet Show” come to my mind. Now they were funny.
Yesterday as I read my latest book, the author used the word cantankerous. It seems I’m now looking to see if I can find any of the odd words while I read. It has been quite interesting. I’ll keep you posted which ones I find daily or for that matter other odd words I find.
Today is Monday and Martin Luther King day is being celebrated; a national holiday for many. Banks are closed today as well as no mail service and many off from school and work. All in all many had a three day weekend.
With January being half-over now, my thoughts turn to February. All of us February Birthday Queens are looking forward for twenty-eight days of our birthday month. Last year we had twenty-nine days, then lockdowns began in March.
So I really think February was the last anyone celebrated the for whole month.
This week my husband is celebrating his birthday week. He doesn’t like doing a whole month, so he just does a week. Today is day one with his birthday on Friday.
Enjoy your Monday.
Until tomorrow....don’t let cantankerous people get to you; and as always Stay Safe.

FINAL ACT
The two guys were so cantankerous
Finding fault with her at every turn
She felt she could not please them
Fining her ever meeting night
for every little thing possible
And vetoing everything she wanted to do
Sounding like two old nags with their
‘NAYS’
‘NAYS’
‘NAYS’
Not able to take it anymore she spoke her
mind
Getting her comeuppance she tendered her
resignation
“I’ll just be a CCM (card carrying member)
from here on in”
Head held high she walked out of the
meeting

KNOW-IT-ALLS
Trying to skedaddle from the two
cantankerous guys
Don’t want to listen to their codswallop
about how cattywampus they think I am
Just two old codgers full of malarkey
Trying to put the kibosh to my reign of head
of the organization this year
Fiddle-dee-dee I say to those fuddy-duddy
fellows
Who think a woman can’t be as good as a
man in this position
