WEEK TWO of NEW YEAR....Day 17

I loved the word for Saturday, January 16th; the word HINKY. There were few meanings for the word; adjective....dishonest and suspect, unreliable. The slang definition  I found is a nervous jittery feeling.  That’s the one I liked best. I’ve used the word with both definitions in the pieces I composed.
I did the third as an acrostic about person going to a karaoke.  I use to enjoy karaoke but after awhile it got old and boring. Same people, same songs and same ones who complain they are on a waiting list to sing.
The short piece I did, the four lines tell the story of the narrator’s thought of her blind date.
The first piece came to me about a guy having to pay up on a bet.  I can imagine him sitting in a club (especially veterans club) in the outrageous outfit cause he lost the bet.
It also could be about a guy getting initiated into a club where, yes, he has to look like this.  I’ve been around people who had to do odd stuff such as this.  Well I’ve never act seen it but I heard stories from a few guys.
I’m sure people seeing them would think ok that’s weird or hinky.
I hope you all enjoy your Sunday.
Until tomorrow....have a great day and as always Stay Safe.

                  GUY AT THE CLUB

I got a hinky feeling when first I saw the guy
He acted really normal though so I couldn't
    figure out why
He wore a hot pink shirt and shorts
and a bright pink silky tie
A cherry red feather boa around his neck
     he wrapped
I couldn’t take my eyes off him and thought
    his mind had snapped
Found out he lost a bet with friends that’s
     why he looked so kinky
And here I thought all along that he was just
      so hinky

                  THE BLIND DATE

She thought he looked kind of iffy
Sporting clothes that were a bit spiffy
His cologne overpowering and stinky
She knew he was definitely hinky
        Her blind date!

                   HINKY FEELING

How was it possible that I felt so jittery
I appeared before groups before
Needless to say the collywobbles got me
Karaoke won’t be so bad, I will prevail
Yet I’m afraid of the boos when I get done
