JANUARY 31st

It’s the last day of the month. Where did January go?  Whew I don’t recall much I did. It was a cold weather month here in Florida. I’ve had my heat on everyday; when it got cold it kicked on.   I am eupeptic that it will get warmer again; not that I need the air conditioner to run, but enough to open windows.
Yesterday’s word was EUPEPTIC.  There were two definitions given.  One was ‘relating to, or having good digestion’; the other ‘cheerful, optimistic’.
Between the two I like the second definition best.
It was one of those days that I had done volunteer work.  A new month starting and new week beginning added to my list of what I had to get done.  I was busy and almost did not write the daily challenge piece.
With February coming tomorrow, I always label it the ‘Month of Love’ or ‘Month of Hearts and Flowers’, something along those lines.  I’m thinking of perhaps as it’s my birthday month calling it “Month of Queen Me” but haven’t decided yet.  Tomorrow we begin our new writing challenge of words associated with Valentine’s Day.  After this month of odd/strange words a break is needed for an easy writing month.  I really did enjoy the odd word month.
Yesterday’s word I focused on a person who is optimistic even though she received a goodbye note left for her. She looks at the positive and hopes for the best instead of being despaired.  I wrote this with the thought that in February mostly I’ll be composing mushy love pieces for Valentine’s Cards and not downer pieces.
It’s Sunday and I hope you all have a Blessed one.
Until tomorrow and the first day of a new month....enjoy the last of January; and as always Stay Safe.

                  THE SANGUINE LADY

Even though things seemed discouraging
She did not give in to defeat
Instead.....she kept optimistic
He left without a verbal word ....only a typed
           note she found
IT’S NOT YOU, IT’S ME.  I NEED TO
            FIND MYSELF
Printed in bold print on pristine white paper
The words should have made her apoplexy
But she always looked at things sanguine
Being euphoric about this development
With hope things would work out for the
       better somehow
