The first day of a new week; first Monday of a new month and a new year.
The word for January third was CODSWALLOP. I like that word too. I know a lot of people who can relate to this word unfortunately. I composed two pieces using this word. The first one focuses on a woman not wanting to listen to the man in her life who gave her lots of grief before. She asks him to leave but still loves him.
The second is similar but in this I used a lot of other odd words. Both popped into my head; oh neither was inspired by anyone in particular; they came from listening to women over the years talking about men.
As a new week begins, I need to try to plan out my week if possible. I found by doing so has been a help to me when trying to get things done. Lists of lists of lists I have.
I remember doing a piece this past year about lists. I do make list for errands or did. I got away from doing so; found it was not a good thing. It seemed I’d go into a store forget what I had planned to buy; so one of my aims for 2021 is to make a list before leaving home. Of course with how we need to be masked in the stores, my husband goes for certain items and I go for certain ones. Has it worked out? In fact yes, it has. We meet up at specific area for the check out or sometimes will check out separately.
I hope you all have a great Monday and week.
Until tomorrow....as always Stay Safe!

HER FINAL STAND
She refused to listen to his codswallop
had heard it all to many times before
She forgave him once, forgave him twice
but won’t forgive him anymore
He pleaded his case his words were true
begging her to listen please
She knew he was full of malarkey
as he beseeched on bended knee
She told him to please leave her alone
never cross her path ever again
Told her goodbye, as he walked out the door
But she knew that she’ll always love him

ELOQUENTLY SPOKEN
What codswallop!
Malarkey indeed!
Poppycock of course!
Balderdash!
I could not believe a word....heard
it all before
Too many times....I intently listened
What a dunce was I!
To be duped by his elegant words....all
a load of tripe
Yet....he did have an eloquence
when turning a phrase
Even though it was nothing but drivel
